She loved the activities, and it really helped her feel more involved and less jealous of the new baby. I got this book for my 4-year-old niece when her baby brother was born.
This was a very good purchase and very appropriate for and 8 year old. While it is harder for us, with a new baby, to complete the sections on time(there are sections for the birth, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and 1 year), she has enjoyed being able to put together a memory book that is completely hers;her drawings, her thoughts, etc. I bought this for my 8 year old to give her when I gave birth to her new baby brother. She loves it.
She thinks that it's great to have a baby book of her own to fill out. While I think that this book was meant for a younger child, my 6 year old is still excited by it. A very cute book. The images are dated but cute.
What a wonderful way to encourage love for a younger sibling. This is a beautiful book that would be a great gift for any big brother or sister.
It makes them feel involved and adds to the excitement of the new baby. I have adapted it for all three kids to share. I think all new brothers and sisters should have this book. I bought this book for my three kids. It is actually for one child to fill out about the new baby.
